Exclusive Lightweight 1x12 Curly/Birdseye Maple Guitar Cabinet Enclosure (empty)
Buy now the Exclusive Lightweight 1x12 Curly/Birdseye Maple Guitar Cabinet (unloaded)
A lightweight handmade 1x12 guitar cabinet enclosure built from California redwood and finished with genuine curly maple. At only about 10 lbs unloaded, this custom guitar speaker cabinet combines portability, distinctive hardwood construction, and a luxurious boutique appearance.
The Ashen Curly/Birdseye Maple Featherweight 112 was created for guitarists who want the beauty and character of a real hardwood cabinet without the weight it usually brings.
To build this enclosure, we started with beautiful curly and birdseye maple and carefully resawn it into thin pieces approximately 5–6 mm thick. Those maple panels were then laminated to lightweight California redwood, giving the cabinet the rich appearance and feel of figured hardwood while keeping the enclosure exceptionally light.
The curly maple was stained to bring out the depth and movement of the grain, then accented with contrasting decorative inlays and detailed joinery. The result is a one-of-a-kind 1x12 guitar cabinet that looks more like fine furniture than ordinary stage gear.
And at only about 10 lbs unloaded, it’s remarkably easy to carry.
The cabinet is designed for a standard 12" guitar speaker and comes with the necessary speaker mounting hardware and internal wiring harness, so you can install the speaker of your choice and tailor the cabinet to your own sound.
We built this cabinet for players who don’t want to choose between portability and beautiful woodwork. The lightweight redwood construction keeps it practical, while the curly and birdseye maple exterior gives it the presence of a true custom piece.
Choose the speaker that speaks to you, and let this cabinet become part of your sound.
