Understanding the distinction between Vibrato and Tremolo is essential. While Reverb is commonly understood among musicians, Vibrato can confuse players. Many mistakenly interchange Vibrato and Tremolo. Vibrato involves pitch modulation, similar to using a guitar's "Tremolo Bar." On the other hand, Tremolo refers to modulated variations in volume or amplitude, not pitch. The Vibrato effect produces a watery, wobbly, pitch-modulated tone, whereas Tremolo generates a more distinct, rhythmic, pulsating sound. The Ashen "ReVibe" tube reverb and harmonic vibrato/tremolo circuits were inspired by the renowned vintage Fender effects and reinterpreted in our unique way. The ReVibe is a hand-crafted, tube-driven unit that seamlessly integrates the two most popular effects. Thanks to our distinct circuit design, we use military-grade miniature tubes used in aircraft specifically engineered to deliver the cleanest signal possible. With an estimated lifespan of around 5,000 hours, you can rest assured that with proper care, you will not encounter any issues with them for a long time.

The ReVibe unit's first focus is creating the most complex and sought-after luxurious vibrato and tremolo effects. This circuit, known as "harmonic vibrato," was only available in a few of Fender's larger Brownface amps between 1960 and 63. The harmonic vibrato effect produces a deep pulse that can be compared to a Leslie or Magnatone vibrato sound, or even a Univibe. It delivers a vibrant, three-dimensional sound unlike anything that existed before or since. This effect includes both vibrato and tremolo dimensions and has three knobs for controlling the Vibrato section: Speed, Depth, and Level.
The second part of the ReVibe is a tube reverb section with a spring tank and one control knob: the Reverb knob gives you a smooth gradient from a completely dry signal to 100% saturated reverb, creating a lush effect.
The Blend knob is an essential feature that lets you control how much of the dry guitar signal blends with the two effects. It helps balance all three signals: Vibrato, Reverb, and the dry signal. Spend some time experimenting with it, and you’ll discover great effect levels that suit your needs for a particular situation.
On the back of the chassis, there is a Dwell knob that controls the brightness of the signal, similar to the original Fender Reverb unit.
The unit comes with a foot switch.
